Hi there—thanks for stopping by! We’re Beau and Stephanie, the husband-and-wife team behind Thai It Up Food Truck, proudly based in Akron, Ohio. We first opened our serving window in May 2023 and have been rolling through Northeast Ohio ever since, bringing bold, fresh Thai flavors to communities across the region.

Thai It Up is a one-unit, family-owned mobile kitchen specializing in authentic Thai dishes—with a few Chinese favorites in the mix, too. We proudly offer vegetarian and gluten-free options, making it easy for everyone to enjoy a taste of Thailand. You’ll find us serving at both public and private events all over Northeast Ohio.

Our chef, Beau, was born in Khon Kaen and raised in Maha Sarakham, Thailand. He moved to Ohio in 1999 at age 16 but began cooking when he was just ten years old—and he’s been mastering his craft ever since. Stephanie, our behind-the-scenes boss and business operations manager, is an Ohio native who’s spent time living and working in different states and abroad, including two memorable chapters teaching English in Thailand.

Their paths crossed in 2019 in a twist of fate that feels like it was meant to be. After returning to Ohio to be with her ailing father, Stephanie happened to visit Beau’s sister’s Thai restaurant—and that’s where she met Beau. Ironically, her dad always feared she’d fall for a man in Thailand and never come home… but it turns out she met her Thai soulmate just minutes from her hometown. Stephanie likes to think her father had a hand in bringing them together.
